Reverse Iris Fold #2 & #3

I resized the pattern on this one a little and it looks much nicer. More like the original pattern intended I think. I used Origami papers and they folded so nice. This time I barely pricked the paper with the needle. Before cutting I reinforced at an angle each corner with a little piece of scotch tape.

I am really liking #3. Made some changes after the first #3 ended in the waste basket.

Sketch challenge #144

Nothing fancy here. Just a little stamping. The dotted heart is on Tim Holtz grunge paper. Love that stuff. So easy to cut with scissors. Both of these cards are pretty darn feminine. This was a nice sketch to work with.

Halloween with reverse Iris folding

A personal Halloween card using the reverse iris folding technique featured in a tutorial on the S&S blog this week. I used thin papers and still had difficulty folding. Not a perfect card but okay for a first time. I would like to try it with some origami papers. Now if I can just find them in my stash

Million hugs and kisses

I used up a bunch of scraps on these cards. Hugs and kisses for OWH troops to send home.

OWH sketch challenge #143

I made 16 of these cards. The top design used SRM word stickers. All of the colored strips are cardstock stickers by Reminicse. I bought 2 12"x12" sheets at Michaels months ago. Just hadn't figured out how to use them.

Hugs and Kisses

I had a lot of cards in my last box for OWH using the blue paper. The entire stack of paper in this pad has the scalloped edge on the bottom.

Puppies, puppies and more puppies

Trying to use up some papers from the Max and Whiskers Basic Grey collection. I made a little dent. Barb Housner sent me this 6"x6" pad ages ago and I mean ages.

Old paper rules!

This line of Deja Views paper was made in 2006.  I have had it since my first card making days. I loved it then, I love it now. I made 19 cards for my last OWH box. I still have more of this paper. Bought before I came to realize that 1 sheet of each paper is plenty. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought so much. It wasn't like I was mass producing cards way back then.

For My Sweetheart

Operation Write Home midweek throw down is for love cards. Here are mine. The heart on the first card is shiny silver. This is my masculine card. The swirl on the second is glossy card stock. The built in swirls on the last card are elegant shiny gold. The sentiment is hiding the Eifel tower laying on it's side. I bought a few of this sheet of paper on the cheap because I knew I could disguise it. The first 2 cards were made with leftovers from who knows when.

Hot air balloons

I picked up this 1995 PSX balloon stamp for $1 this summer at a yard type sale at my LSS. It was a lot of fun to color. Both cards are going out in my OWH box today. I think I need to buy the Hero Arts balloon set. I really like it.

OWH Christmas cards

A few cards made from a sheet of pretty embossed paper I bought last year. Quick and simple. I have a hard time making Christmas cards, especially in September.
