OWH blog hop-Christmas cheer

The gingerbread house stamp is an old PSX stamp I picked up for $3 at St. Vincent DePaul a long time ago. I colored with Copic markers. On some parts I used a Gelly Roll Glaze pen. I used Crystal Lacquer on the rooftop dots. For the snow on the bottom I added some Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles. The background papers are glossy. I cut out the image and popped it up.

This is a card  I posted on the OWH Facebook page a couple of months ago but not on my blog yet. The monster image is a digital image by Hope Jacare. I colored with Copic markers. I added Diamond Glaze to the teeth so they really pop. I went over the dots with a Gelly Roll Glaze pen. Just a whimsical card that I enjoyed making.

I truly enjoy making cards for our troops to send home. If it brings a smile to the face of the recipients that is a wonderful thing. Thanks to our troops for all that you do.

You are a gift

My first card using this theme. Saw this sentiment while standing in line at the post office. The gift stamp is a 1997 Denami Design I picked up at St. Vincent DePaul for $2.70. I have several cards with this theme in the works. The sentiment is computer generated. I gave this card a masculine look

Messing around

I received a beautiful card from John VM (he posts on OWH Facebook page on a regular basis) where he stamped an image and then stamped a sentiment on top of it. That was my inspiration for these cards but I wanted to use up some of my large paper stash. I picked out paper that had a lot of open space and started cutting it with just a portion of a design on it. I have others I did but you get the general idea with these ones.

Happiness is hot cocoa

The cups for these cards were on the back side of a piece of ugly green Christmas paper. On the 2 tall cards I added ghost snowflakes. The small flake I put through my Xyron, the larger one I used strips of red line tape. I needed to make sure they wouldn't get snagged on other cards when shipped.

OWH-Ladybug Love

I am using this card for two challenges on Operation Write Home. One is the midweek throwdown with the theme "A Bugs Life". It is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry. The other is the Challenge "Something Round" sponsored by Robyns Fetish. The image and sentiment are from Dee Dees Digis which is no longer in business. I colored the image with Copic Markers.

OWH Christmas cards

I put all of my versions of this card on at one time. I used the Tim Holtz deer die. Some of the deer were made with Tim Holtz Grunge Paper and I painted with Twinkling H2Os. Others I used fancy paper. A couple of the cards have a dab of loose glitter so I will not be using those for OWH.

New baby cards

I have 2 great grandsons due around the end of October. I will be sending these cards with a gift check. The first card I stamped the word baby on a piece of stock from a DCWV pad. The pants on the  second card were made from a pattern a friend sent me. Just a little paper piecing for the pants. The original card was made in the shape of the pants but I used just the front and added it to a card base. I popped the pants up.

OWH VCMP Challenge #1

The challenge was "Garanimals" I cut this little dog from a piece of Basic Grey paper. I have several of these cute dog images to use in the future. To make it easy I put the unfinished image through the Xyron and then fussy cut them.

The end!

These are absolutely the last of my fall cards. The sentiment on the middle card is a digi from Create with TLC. Oh yeah, I guess you will end up seeing some personal fall and Halloween cards but this it for OWH

OWH mid week throwdown

I hadn't planned on making any more fall cards but I will do the challenge for this week. The image is a vintage digi from Create With TLC. I did a little stamping on the background of a flourish. I colored with my Copics. Then my Tim Holtz tiny stapler was sitting in front of me just begging me to use it. I had to do it. I pulled out some more embellishments and thought "No, this is it". Actually I do have a couple more fall cards I haven't taken pictures of yet so I guess you will be seeing more from me.

I had a second look at this today. I added a thank you sentiment to the middle of the card. It looked like it needed something

What did the grape say

Here is the final version of my card. I found this paper in my stash with footprints and thought it was perfect. It reminded me of the I Love Lucy episode where she is in a vat of grapes and stomping them.
The sentiment is from Create With TLC

More fall cards

Seems like my fall cards are never ending. The first card I was able to make only one. I used up the last scrap of pumpkin paper on it. The second card was made using a stamp by Rubber Stampede. I stamped it on colored paper and cut it out. I used a stipple brush and added gold Mica Magic to it. The Thankful stamp is one of the $1 stamps from Michaels.
