Christmas cheer, Santa is near

This was a fun card. I made 2 like this and am using different paper for 2 more. The digital image is from Bugaboo. The digital sentiment is from TLC. I used Copic markers and also some Spica glitter pens to color her dress. I also used some Sakura Crystal Lacquer on the berries and bulbs. To fasten the ribbon I used my Tim Holtz tiny stapler for the first time. I was pretty impressed.
I just finished the other version so I added it. It appears as the first picture

OWH-I am nuts and bolts about you

I did this card in primary colors for the boys and the girls and then one in very girly colors. I did 7 of each. My mind is a blank on this Black Friday morning. I need to look and see if these were digis. I did them a couple of weeks ago and I have slept since then. It is Stampendous wood mounted stamp I bought just to make these cards for OWH. I kept one of them out to send later to my 6 year old grandson Taylor.

I need to go look at more adds to see what kind of shopping I will do when day breaks.

When the weather outside is Fros-Tea

I really enjoyed making this card. I have been so caught up in making cards for OWH that I have neglected making other cards. I made this card with a digital image and sentiment from TLC. The paper came with the embossed trees. I colored the image with Copics and used Spica glitter pens on the flakes. I cut and mounted on the DCWV glitter paper in pale lavender. Punched the snowflakes with the glitter paper too. Added some Swarovski crystals for a little more bling. On the sentiment I added Distress Rock Candy Stickles for the snow. I plan on making some cards like this.

TLC challenge

I did this challenge to show my support for all the hard work Paulette does on her blog. I have never figured out how to put a link in a post but you can find a link to her site on my sidebar blog roll.

Although this was a vintage image I needed a more modern look. I will use this as a Valentine for Operation Write Home. I had to restrict the size of the card to A2 so I was limited with embelishments. I colored with Copics and I have to tell you that pie crust gave me fits. I have done pie crust on an image before and it was no fun. I finally used E30 Bisque as a base and went from there on this one. It may very well be my last try at crust. lol The paper is from Basic Grey. I put the red background through my Cuttlebug and added the lace.

Thank you Paulette. Now I need to see if I can link this to your blog.

OWH-Girls rock too!

This is the last of my rock cards. I made 8, 2 of each design. Made them nice and feminine. I am tired of embossing with black embossing powder. You think you have every little stray piece of powder off until you emboss. Maybe next time I will use clear embossing powder. Whoever heard of green flowers in real life. These Primas were perfect! Made the cards a little edgie. All of the flowers are Prima. The first 2 cards were made with discontinued Basic Grey papers.

OWH-You rock my world

Some more cards made with DCWV mat stack. Made 3 each of these ones. The word art is from TLC.

OWH-You rock

I have 12 rock cards made. Today I will post 3 of them. I used a DCWV paper pad that Angela gave me this last weekend. I thought they were nice and masculine and suitable for teens and adults. I embossed the guitar on the first 2 cards.

OWH-Flower cards

Very feminine cards today. The card with the multicolored background and the purple background were made with stickers. The "Lucky to be loved by you" digital word art is from TLC. On that card I took some very old flowers from K&CO. I think and covered the flowers in Diamond Glaze. They look very rich in real life. I popped up the large one to overlap the smaller one.

OWH- songbird

Just a quick post today. I want to get busy on some card making. This is a stamped card using a design from a previous card I made. That makes it easy. Again, I used scraps. I made 2 cards with this paper and I plan on making some more with other paper.

Angela brought me some more paper and I am anxious to use some of it, in particular some paper with guitars. It is black with silver guitars. Should make perfect masculine Valentines for OWH.

Birthday girl

This card will be for my granddaughter Charmaine. She will be 26 in a week. The paper and flower are Prima. I don't need paper but I fell in love with this. It is double sided and from the Fairy Flora collection. I bought 5 different sheets from the line. No, I didn't make the flower. They were 6 in a pack for $5. The flowers are made from the same paper. The digital image is Hope Jacare colored with Copics. I did a little stamping and added some Swarovski crystals for bling.

OWH-Cosmo Cricket leftovers

More old paper and punch outs that matched the paper from 2007. I have some more punch outs so I will be using those up. I used an edge distress-er on all of the cards. I used Diamond Glaze on the heart and the center of the card with the open heart. The separate center button on three of the cards is popped up. Found some nice looking twine and leather look cording in the jewelry department at Ben Franklin. The twine was white so I soaked it in coffee which I always have in the pot. Tried to keep the cards looking at least a little masculine. Maybe I will have to get John's opinion on that. lol

OWH-Hello to you

I made five cards with this design and paper. Again, very old paper. The acrylic flowers were a purchase from long ago from Michaels $ bin. Looks like they were made to go with this paper! The digital sentiment is from TLC.

OWH-Valentines with stickers.

I have had these Penny Black valentine stickers forever. The package says they were put out in 2006. In making these cards for OWH I have been trying to use my stash. It is fun using scraps of paper but I admit I did buy 4 sheets just to use for valentines. I also bought some lace trim.

OWH-Here's a big hug.

I finished six of these cards today. When I scanned I couldn't get the color corrected on the image. The girl is actually quite pink. Well, in this image she is a girl! So very pink. I may do some in greens or blues that aren't girly. I colored with Copics. Did the eyes and teeth with Diamond Glaze, the spots I went over with a Sakura Glaze pen. The digital image is Hope Jacare.

OWH-Kiss, a jumper cable for the heart

I did eight cards with this design with minor variations of trim. The word art is from TLC. The heart is a Sizzix die. On this card the center of the flower was a brown metal dot by Colorbok. I colored it with a dark red Copic marker. I love the marbled look the marker gave it. The heart (from Peggy) was red but the wrong shade so I colored with H2Os and now they are nice and shiny. These cards will arrive at their destination in time for Valentines Day.
