More Halloween cards

I am about done working with Halloween cards. Getting tired of them. I have done a dozen. I will need to do some simple ones for the little grandkids in a couple of weeks. I think they are more thrilled with the $5 I put in the cards than the cards themselves. lol

Cat Girl and Batty are both digital images from Tiddly Inks.

The lady in red with a halo holder is a digital image from Bugaboo. Erica colored all 3 images. That is the last of the images she colored for me. Boo hoo. I like how she added a web to the devil lady's leg. I used Diamond Glaze on her dress and the sentiment. I watered down the glaze and glazed the flames. Now this image is not one I would buy. I got it from Angela. I do have a specific person in mind though to send this card to. Sometimes cute just doesn't get it for me and this was fun to work with.

Gossmere goes Trick or Treating

Guess I need to get this card added. It has been finished for 2 days. I have been spending what seems like endless hours reorganizing my digital images. I am almost done. Me and my thing for organizing getting carried away. They say time spent doing something you enjoy is not wasted time so I keep that in mind. I just bought the Bugaboo Sept. club with 20 images so I need to deal with getting those into Word. Also need to get some more images that Erica colored made into cards. I can see me deleting more stuff from my DVR

More Halloween

I finished this one up this evening. The Boo image is a digital freebie from TLC. It came colored. I printed out and added Diamond Glaze to make it pop. The image is on a cut out (the big orange blob)of a tracing I did from a tag. I used stamp edge scissors to cut it out. The scalloped edge on the top is from my new Recollections punch. Added some Primas, brads and some black mesh. The velum ghost was cut with a Sizzix die, a pretty old one. I like how it turned out. A simple image that worked.

Spotlighted at CDAC

Today my Halloween boot #3 was spotlighted on the main page at CDAC. It is a badge but I don't know how to add those to the blog. I need lessons. lol

Yesterday I did learn how to take 2 separate digital images in Word and combine them to make one image. I wish I had known how to do that with the spotlighted card. Instead I used multiple papers until I was able to run them through the printer to combine. I needed the boot printed on the paper so when I cut out the colored image you could still see the curly cues on the outside edges of the boot. I cut them off on the colored one.

Halloween boot #3

Maybe this will be my last boot card. I said maybe! The background scene was a digital freebie but I don't have the name of the source. Erica colored this boot with Copics. It is my favorite boot and I will send it to her for Halloween. I added Swarovski crystals. I also put Diamond Glaze on the green and purple portions of the main boot. I also used the glaze on the stars and moon on the cuff. Erica outlined all the curly cues with matching colors of Spica glitter pens.

My day yesterday was a real pick me up. I finally bit the bullet and shopped for smaller jeans. I have been wearing a belt of Ercil's to hold my current jeans up. Talk about a baggy butt and legs. How about a size 16! They even have tapered legs and I don't mean boot cut. They just look so nice on me. Also came home with 3 new blouses, all by Crazy Cat. They were in an xl. I topped off the shopping with a knee length coat to wear when I walk in the park and my lighter weight jackets fail to keep me warm. Another nice surprise just a bit ago. I was watching TV and I noticed I had my legs crossed. Now you all may take that for granted but it is something obese people can't do. Maybe like a guy crosses his legs we can do but that is about it. I know it has to have been at least 35 years since I could cross my legs nicely. So all in all, a very nice day, except for the fact that I spent a lot of money on those clothes!

Another Halloween boot

Couldn't help myself. Had to do some more boot images. On this one I embossed the witch stamp. I used Diamond Glaze on the dark parts of the boot. Added the purple Swarovski crystals and the beaded ribbon trim is from Joannes. Colored this one with Copics.

A fancy Halloween boot!

I love how this card turned out. The boot image is a digital design from Paper Face Designs. It was a freebie on CDAC. The idea was to put lots of bling on and boy did I ever. I went to Joannes earlier this evening to buy different trims. I want to make a few of these cards using this design.

Another flower children card

I think I need to figure out if I can make an album of just this series. Anyway, here is one that will go in the mail tomorrow to my sister. I don't even know if she is still in the hospital or home or at her daughters. The daughter didn't return the message I left earlier this evening.

I was out at 7 this morning for my walk. It has been raining but it was dry when I walked. Then I slept all day. Works for me. I will be up all night I am sure. In a way I dread the rainy season to start. I like my daily walks around the park. With all the weight I have lost I am going to have to invest in a warmer jacket soon. Still need to shop for pants that aren't baggie too. I just keep putting off the shopping. Might have to look for an umbrella that is comfortable in the hand too. The one I have is not comfortable at all.

The inside of the card reads

Saucy little Black-eyed Susan,
When her mother caught her snoozin;
Rubbed her sleepy eyes and said
She guessed she'd toddle off to bed.

Happy Birthday Destiny

A sweet card I made for the great granddaughter that will turn 9 in a couple of weeks. If she was here she would tell me to put on some lace and some ribbon and some? She likes lots of stuff on her cards. She is very girlie. Likes to wear dresses instead of pants any day of the week.

Deets
Copic markers
Prima flowers
Velvet rick rack-unknown
Stickles
Bazzill
Heidi Grace Designs and Fancy Pants paper
Digital image Hope Jacare
Diamond Glaze on hearts and cupcake

I made it to Michaels with my 50% off coupon and also had a 40% off. Bought a big scallop border punch and an inexpensive Fiskars cutter. The punch was Recollection brand. I am liking this new cutter. It cuts 5.5" wide and about 9"long. It cost me all of $7.50 so I can't go wrong. lol

Update on sister

I talked to her this morning. She does not have a fractured hip. She does have sepsis so I hope that is taken care of quickly. This is the second time she has had sepsis in the last few months.

I have a card to post later but I am still on my morning coffee. It is just past 4:00p.m. Just a little late starting with my day. I went to Michaels last night to use my coupon and they had closed already. lol Maybe I will go soon. I broke the plastic bar that holds the paper down on my Making Memories paper cutter. That sucker cost me $50. I was lifting up on it to clean adhesive off the underside. Pop! I am back to using my Fiskars big cutter that I have had for 10 years. Old reliable should be it's brand name.

Update

On the witch card I forgot to give credit for the digital image witch. It was a freebie on CDAC from Sunshine and Giggles. That is a digital image shop.

I got a call from a daughter this morning that woke me up. My 76 year old sister fell and broke her hip yesterday. It is very upsetting news. She went back to AZ 2 weeks ago after a 2 week visit with me. The Dr's will decide today how to repair it.

I have been in this room working on a birthday card for my great granddaughter that will be 9 in 2 weeks. Time to call it quits. I got only 4 hours of sleep. I am ready for a nap. You see, if I go to bed then I won't be tempted to go to Michaels and use the 50% off coupon on something I don't need. Want to place some bets? I will just get asleep and my oldest daughter will either call or come over. She almost always comes over on Sundays.

Hello my little sweetie

I made this card for a distress challenge on CDAC. Halloween cards are my favorite to make but this one was a challenge. Because the witch wasn't a cutie I didn't feel like I could use bright colors. I put the green cardstock through my spider web Cuttlebug folder and rubbed it with chalk inks. Distressed the edges on both ovals with my Tim Holtz edge distresser. Used more fluid chalk inks. Colored the witch with Copic markers and carefully cut her out. Popped up the potion bottles on the right side. Added a little cloth ghost. Sentiment computer generated.

I am spending the evening watching t.v.

Oh yes, it's morning

I forgot to give credit to TLC for the word Art on the turkey card. The digital turkey image is from Fresh Brewed Designs. I am still having problems figuring out the ins and outs of posting. I couldn't get the previous post to open so I could edit it.

It's morning

Just a continuation of yesterday for me. It is almost 2 in the morning. Time to call it quits for crafting and go watch some t.v.

Here is the 3rd turkey card. Erica was here Sunday and she colored it for me with Copics.

The Bachelor Button card is the 5th in the series for my sister. The inside says

Bachelor Button, O, most shocking!
Found a hole in his silk stocking:
But he mended it so neatly,
Covered up the place completely.

I think darning a sock is a forgotten skill. I have mended holes in socks but I sure never learned to darn. Don't even know how to knit and never wanted to. lol
