Rock on!

Welcome to the OWH Memorial Day blog hop using sketches from the Stars and Stamps blog.

To connect back to the BLOG HOP HOME click on this link

I wanted to focus on teenagers for my cards. It seems a lot of us have trouble making suitable cards for this age group. The first card uses sketch #33. I used a stamped image and the card is pretty basic. The white of the card base is Bazzill Bling so it does have some pizzaz.

For the girls card I wanted a softer look but still wanted an edgie look. I stamped her on colored paper and mounted the image on more colored paper. For the background I chose  a geometric look. I finished the card with some bling. I used sketch #2 for this card.

I have some blog candy to give away. Scroll down to the next post to have a look

You certainly DID NOT "miss it" on this hop! Your cards are awesome! You are completely right - we don't make enough cards geared toward this age group, I'm going to work on that more.

Your blog candy is fabulous! I don't always enter the contests but yours I can not resist!!! Thank you!

You're right. Teenager cards are difficult for most of us. But your cards are perfect. Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks also for supporting our troops.

You're right, the teen cards are definitely harder! Great job with these! Any teen would love them, and I'm sure you'll have some grateful moms and dads in the military happy to send these home :) Have a great day!

Yes, this age group is so hard to make cards for. You did Great. I like these sketches too.

JoAnn Ross said...

Okay, you really inspired me with these! Not only are they great, you also reminded me that while I do a lot of kid cards, I don't do teenage ones. (I should especially think of that since our two grandkidlets are teens!) I'm going to have to change that because they're obviously missing their parents at that age.

So, thanks for creating such special cards and for reminding the rest of us there's another age group out there that needs some OWH love! xoxoxo

Wow! Your cards capture a teenager so perfectly. This has probably been said but, I'll say it anyway. Cards for kids are easy but I shy away from teenager cards. Not any more! I pinned this for inspiration.

Nice job on these Cora! I often envision teenagers getting cards that they are not quite a perfect fit . Though they are no doubt happy to hear from a parent or sibling far away it makes me happy when I can manage to come up with some designs for my OWH cards that will really appeal to them. Thanks for joining in the Memorial Day hop and for supporting OWH!

Well, some/most of us may have trouble making cards for teens, but you nailed both of them. Any teen would love to get these (and would likely save them). Thanks for participating in the blog hop and for continuing to support the troops.
