OWH blog skip

This is the last stop on the skip. I hope you have enjoyed the different take we have all had with this Whipper Snapper image provided to us by Barb. If you arrived here other than via the links on the OWH Stars & Stamps blog you can click this link and start at the top.

Barb sent all of us a kit with the image and included the papers we were to use. The image really puzzled me. I could see his feet facing forward. I saw what I thought was his nose down low or maybe his tail. It looked like his rear end sticking up at the top but why would a rear end have whiskers! I thought he was bent over looking through his legs because his ears were touching the ground. That couldn't be because his feet were facing forward! I went to the Whipper Snapper site and found the stamp so I knew I could get the colors right. Finally I gave the site link to a couple of friends and asked them to explain this image to me. They laughed at me. What I thought was his nose was a belly button. He had his head tipped back and was smelling the flower. Of course! Now I could see it! Yes, I was able to laugh at myself.

I had 4 papers to choose from so I picked 3 to work with.

There is a bunny hop (blog hop) coming up soon and I would like to invite you all to sign up here. There is also a bloghop button on my sidebar with the link. I am going to link you back now to S&S blog

LOL--that is hilarious. Your image is colored so beautifully. I like the shape you put him in and the way your ribbon picks up the colors.

I've done that with some images myself over the years but I wasn't smart enough to research it before I made my mistakes. I love the rich coloring on the image, especially the flower and the sentiment is a perfect match for the image.

very cute Cora, great coloring, and cute tag. your story had me laughing, I usually do that with flower images, can't tell the difference between the flowers and the leaves or other things in the stamp.

I think everyone has had that problem with a stamp or two over the years - nice to hear someone admit to it though :) love how your card turned out once you figured out up from down for the bunny -- nice job

Cute - I was priveleged to see your card in real life and it's even CUTER! I had to laugh at your puzzlement over the image too - his belly totally threw me, I was trying to see it as his tail, and thought we were maybe looking at the back of the bunny! heehee.

Great card! I've had images I had to study awhile before I colored them too, it's interesting how we can see different things. Great skip, I enjoyed seeing all your different takes on the same supplies, thanks!

Love that you shared about the image being confusing! I have done that myself more than once so it's nice to know I'm not alone. :-) Love the end result of your card. Obviously, once you figured it out, your creativity really started working! Great project.

Cora that is so funny. I've had this stamp for a few years now and it's got the picture on the wood so I didn't have to figure it out. But it does look like a bunny tail on his belly. We should glue cotton on it and confuse everyone!! Your card turned out really cute.
