ODBD August challenge
The August ODBD challenge for OWH was to use pink, brown and green. I used both sides of designer paper from SEI.

Autumn birds
I made several cards using this Bugaboo digital image. Used my Copics to color. Used papers I have had for years. At least 1 sheet said 2008.

Owl always love you.
I truly enjoyed making this image. The owl is a Hero Arts stamp. The Hero Arts blog showed a card with this color blocking and I had the stamp. I knew I had to give it a try. I stamped in black Memento. I used a Copic multi liner in black to draw the lines. I re stamped the branch using Distress color markers. I applied the cut out owl to the branch. The sentiment is a stamp from another owl set by Darcies. The background paper is actually a little more gold than this shows.
These are the Copic colors I used.

OWH Sketch #184
This is just the kind of sketch I enjoy working with. I used a mix of designer paper brands. The nut paper is Bo Bunny. The sentiment is a digital image from Create With TLC. I went over the word nuts with a clear glaze pen to add some pop. I made 10 cards for my OWH box.

Fall is here. NOT!
It is time for us to make fall cards for OWH. The sunflower and script paper are Graphic 45. The plaid paper is from K&Co. I decided to change things up a bit. I pierced the strip and hand sewed in some embroidery thread. A few errors here and there in the piercing. I tossed 2 strips. I used a small hole canvas from M's for a guide. I have 4 cards with the plaid and 6 with the script. I love it when I can cut a big piece of paper in 2" strips and make 12 cards.

OWH sketch #183
I made a couple of versions of this card using the same papers. I think the chipboard flowers are K&Co. I removed the pop up dots from them so they would be flat.

Harvest corn
I used OWH sketch #37 for these cards. I made 4 of each. The digital image is from Create With TLC. On the first card the long strip is a designer paper insert from a Stampington magazine. The back is dated 2005. Just a little old. The long strip on the bottom card is from one of those big pads of thin papers I bought years ago. Magnolia and Wild Asparagus I think. Half I either gave away or tossed. Some of it was pretty ugly. This sheet I liked and I used the last of it for these cards. Over the years I have learned to stay away from most of those pads of thin paper.

Horses and birds
These two cards I used the Split Coast Stampers 403 sketch. The papers on all of the cards are older than the hills. I was able to make 2 of the bird cards. The red dots was the reverse side of the birds. I am thinking this is SEI paper. The pink cards are from Moxie paper that my daughter gave me. I wanted to use all of this cute horse paper. I made 5 of the first one and used a leftover piece for the last card. I accidently got brown ink on the striped piece so I added some more!

Too Late!
I have been trying to use my Copics. I am not so hot at the shading and blending.

I love you a ton!
I love this sketch. It has been a long time since I did a card with color blocking. I wouldn't make duplicates because it is time consuming but I certainly enjoyed spending several hours on just one card. Here is what I came up with.
I used papers from a 6" pad of Authentique "Remembrance". The elephant is just a little $1 stamp. I stamped it twice and cut the gray image out and placed on top of the image with the tail. I added a little pink chalk to the ears. The flower was colored with a Glaze pen. I stamped the heart separate. Actually, the heart was part of the elephant stamp but I cut it off and stamped with colored ink. I am not adverse to whacking on my stamps especially when it is a cheap stamp. It is the first card I have made with this image. The size was perfect for this square. I have a snowman stamp also that is the perfect size so I may make a card with it.
