Young Love

Messing around with a stamp that I think I bought a couple of months ago at a garage sale at my LSS. A couple of cards blinged out for the ladies and the first one I thought could be masculine.

Quick thank you cards

Sandy said she was in need of some thank you cards. I made 7 with the red flowers, 5 with an assortment of turquoise flowers and 6 with the bottom card. Guess I'll check out some sketches and see what I can do. Enough with the embossing folders. Sanding the color off is messy. I even used a vacuum on the card fronts. Worked pretty good too.

Gobble gobble

I made a bunch of these for my OWH box. It has been a long time since I used real buttons on a card. I usually use ones punched or a button die cut. The image is a digital image precolored.

More fall cards

I haven't updated my blog for 2 weeks. Just been really busy making cards. These cards were all made with card size pieces from previous years. I am on a kick of a using up the old stuff. The font on these cards is from Creating Keepsakes. I have had this CD now for a good 10 years. You can choose what colors you want the font to print in.

This is also my first Blogger post where I reduced the pixel size of the card down to 800 pixels. Blogger doesn't count this size against what you can store in the Picassa albums. Just looking ahead.

OWH Pizzaz skip

This was a fun card to make. I started by stamping this stamp (sorry, I don't know the maker. I unmounted the stamp and neglected that information) with Rich Cocoa Memento ink. I colored with Copic markers. I colored the dots on the leaves with an orange Sakura Glaze Pen. Gave them a nice little shine even though you can't see that here. I used white card stock so I could keep the true colors of the Copic markers. I didn't want the background to be so white though so I spritzed the colored image and the top piece of the card with Tsukineko Walnut ink. I have an area set up in my garage to do this. I mounted the image on a bronze metallic paper after putting it through an embossing folder. After putting the card together I edged with chalk inks. The top jewels are Swarovski crystals in a topaz color. The crystals on the image are a smoked topaz.

I hope you are enjoying this skip coordinated by Barb.

I would also like to give you a link to Operation Write Home for you to check out. It is a non profit group that ships handmade blank greeting cards to our overseas troops to send home. Operation Write Home.  Operation Write Home is always in need of quality cards and of course money donations to keep the boxes going out.

Here is a link for the next stop on the skip, Tess Harry

Thanks a Latte

A Bugaboo coffee cup image colored with Copic markers. I used some pretty old Basic Grey papers. I wonder if I will ever get them used up.

Assorted fall color cards.

I have so many cards to share I decided I would get several out of the way today. No special theme, just the fall colors I love.

OWH mid week challenge

The challenge this week was to use kraft paper. I have 3 different shades of kraft paper and this one matched my papers so nicely. This paper was given to me by my daughter many months ago when she cleaned her stash. I have been waiting all this time for fall so I could use it. The stripe was on the reverse side. I think this makes a nice masculine card.

Loving you is easy to do

I must have made over a dozen of these cards. Wanted to make more. The sentiment is from Create With TLC

Young girl

A LaBlanche stamp colored with Copic Markers. My daughter says it makes her think of Alice In Wonderland. This was made before I had my Copic classes
