OWH-More Mothers Day cards

Yesterday I had Word open and was working on a sentiment. Had it all ready to print. You know, the right font and size where I could print it on the card. I turned around from my work desk to my computer desk and I had major problems! My Windows 7 had crashed. One of my grandsons came over and helped me. We used the recovery disc that I made when I first got the computer which was only 8 months ago (it was still under warranty). I lost everything in the way of pictures and documents and all that. I store my data online. It took 2 hours of download this morning but I have it all back. So glad I pay that less than $4 a month. I don't have to worry about backing stuff up. It does it automatically.

Okay, now for the cards. My, I was so chatty I have to think about what I am posting. The card with the yummy food is more paper from the DCWV snack pad. Loving these papers. I mounted the sentiment on gold antique look paper. The card with a bird I made some time ago. I changed out the strip on the top for Mothers Day. The bird cages are gold foil imprinted on the paper. Very fancy indeed. I stamped the bird and covered in Diamond Glaze to give it body and then cut it out. I love this design and want to make more cards like this.

OWH-Loving coffee

I made several of the stacked cup cards and mailed off for OWH. It is yet another Bugaboo image colored with Copics. I colored with only the earth tone markers except for the spoon which I used gray. I wanted the card to have masculine colors and not all feminine colors. That way a lady could send to a guy and feel it was suitable. The cookie paper is from the DCWV snack pad. I am loving all the food papers, probably because I don't eat all this stuff. I do love coffee! My beverage of choice. These images are just too darn cute

I am also posting another version of the coffee flowers card. I made 6 of these and sent off to the midwest OWH shipper. They are very cheerful looking.

OWH-Coffee time!

Three different colored papers but same colored Bugaboo image. Loving this digi. Made 3 each of these cards.

OWH-Mothers Day

I made 21 cards with this Impresion Obsession stamp. I used Versafine black ink. All of the images were stamped on scraps of pattern paper. I got rid of a lot of scraps! I used only double sided paper scraps. I distressed the edges of the image with a Tim Holtz distressor and the paper needed to stand up to that without tearing. I posted 2 different colored cards here so you could see the difference between soft and bold colors

OWH-Easter

The time is getting away from me. I haven't updated for a few days. Here are a couple of Easter cards. Both images are from designer paper I have had a couple of years. I colored in the eggs on the one card. I tried to make the cards suitable for masculine use. I made a few of each card and mailed them off some time ago to OWH

OWH-I miss ewe

Time to get some new cards on here. These cards were made with clipart. I made several of each for OWH. Sometimes it is nice to not have to color. I think the girl looks sad. It is her eyes and eyebrows. The missing you sentiment seems to work for this image.

OWH-Friend collage

Just a quick post. Haven't updated for a couple of days. This is a stamped collage image on patterned paper. I put Diamond Glaze on the butterfly after I colored it with Copics. Distressed the edges and all that. You can pretty much see what I did. I made several of these for OWH

OWH-Raining Cupcakes

Today I am adding a couple of cards that are the same image but colored a little differently. This is another digital image from Hambo Stamps. I have a fondness for their images. I used Diamond Glaze on the umbrellas. For the cupcake icing I used a Sakura Glaze pen.

Today (Thursday) I got my order from HSN with a pack of 100 Bazzill Classic white cardstock. It is not as nice as the X-press blending card but nicer than Neenah. That is what I am told anyway. I use the Neenah and hoard the X-press. Today I am also looking for a couple of other packages. I have a 10 pack of Glaze pens on it's way and all the new Copic Sketch colors plus some more. I have been coloring my new charts that a friend gave me. She makes her own and they are so nice.

This is also the day that I will be the Friday Featured cardmaker on the OWH Stars and Stamps blog. I hope they said nice things about me.  lol  I haven't seen it yet.

OWH-mid week throwdown

I made several of these cards with different color combinations. The digital rainbow image is from Stretch N Bubbles. The word art is from Create with TLC. Paulette at TLC had an offer to send in a watermarked image and she would make a sentiment. I had bought the image to make OWH cards with but couldn't come up with a good sentiment. I sent her this image and she was kind enough to brainstorm and this is what she came up with. I think it is perfect. I merged the 2 images and it was a perfect design.

The midweek throwdown wants cards with polka dots. The first one is just right. Both cards were made with paper from a huge slab that I have had a long time.

Right after I scanned this polka dot card my scanner went wonky. It is making a huge bar of light across my images. I am thinking I pressed to hard on the platen cleaning it just before I scanned this. This one was fine but after that is was no dice. I just opened a $60 pack of ink from Costco for the printer. It isn't like I want to buy a new printer scanner combo with this ink sitting here. Maybe I will have to finally learn to take a good picture with my camera. Maybe I will buy a NEW camera. My grandaughter took an outside picture of the card with the flowers using her new $200 camera. New printer or new camera or use what I have. It rains here so much you can go days with no outside sun. Maybe I need to make a light box. I have been thinking about that.

OWH-Three blind mice

These cards were made with digital images from Hambo Stamps.  I had a lot of fun coloring them with Copics. I glazed the cake with Diamond Glaze.
