OWH-Safari Dreams elephant

The elephant was imprinted on the DCWV paper (the image was already on the paper). Because there were only two sheets of it I made only 2 cards. Too bad because I really like this elephant. I do have some other elephant cards in the works though and I will be posting those.
On this card I stitched around the edge with multi colored thread to dress the simple card up a little. I used my Tim Holtz tiny stapler to fasten down the sentiment and ribbon. I love that stapler! I distressed the edges of the image mount with my Tim Holtz distresser and then inked up the edges with green VersaMagic

OWH-Safari Dreams Rhino

I made four of these cards with clipart from Microsoft Office clipart. I colored the image with Copics. The papers are from DCWV Safari 8" pad. I used the Distress ink Stormy Sky on the image edge. The twine I used was Darice 20lb hemp from the jewelry department. I soaked it in coffee because it was white.

OWH-Safari Dreams, tiger

This is the second in my Safari Dreams series for OWH. I used the DCWV 8"Safari pad of papers. The image is a clipart download from Microsofts Office clipart. I colored with Copics. I don't normally list the colors I used but I will for this one. It gave me fits. I made 4 of these cards.

Copics
E41 for background. I used the broad end of the sketch marker.

E11 for base color of tiger.

Y23 over the base coat.

YR12 shadows

C00 white on face

OWH Safari Dreams

These cards were a real change of pace for me. I decided I would make some masculine cards. I fell in love with the DCWV safari 8" pad and had to have it. Now the problem is finding images to use with the paper. I found these zebra clip art images at Microsoft's Office clip art site. Found some other usable images too. I printed the images out on Crate paper. On the bottom 2 cards I used my Ranger craft mat and the Tim Holtz Stormy Sky Distress Ink and rubbed the edges with the Tim Holtz applicator. I made 12 of these zebra cards

I am working on some tiger cards and the images are giving me fits. I have a hard time doing animals with my Copic markers. I may have over 225 markers but I still can't find the correct color.

The purple butterfly card went to my sister Betty. The other was made for OWH.

OWH more butterflies

Looks like I need to get my blog updated. Here are some more butterflies. Same image, different look. The bottom card used a piece of really old Basic Grey paper. The top 2 I used my new pad which is old, of DCWV Sweet shop. I made several cards with this image. Getting pretty good at making multiples

I have been working on some masculine cards that I will be posting soon

And then I woke up

This is the card I made for my Angela's 49th birthday. I want to do some of these for OWH. I colored with Copics. Added some Diamond Glaze to the umbrella.

The holidays are winding down. Betty goes back to wet Southern CA in the morning. I will get back to eating properly. I have been having pasta and a bit of bread and a couple of pieces of pie and this evening I am up a pound from 2 weeks ago. I can't have that.

My son-in-law replaced my garbage disposal this morning. That gave a nice hit to my pocket book. Then I decided I needed some of that fancy x-press paper to use with my Copics. That was an arm and a leg. I hate to balance my checkbook. The nice thing is I am loving that Michaels has the ATG tape. Been using coupons to buy that. If I was smart I would do that everyday this week. Been using a lot of that tape!

OWH butterflies

I have found myself making cards even with the holidays approaching. Here are 3 with the same colored image but different papers. The digital word art is from TLC. I have no idea of the company that made the butterfly stamp. It was from an image exchange a long time ago. Colored with Copics

The last of my Christmas cards

This is it folks. The end of my Christmas cards. Would you believe with all the paper I have that I bought 7 sheets of Christmas paper on sale today! With all these holiday cards I reached way back in my stash of papers. The new pads by Cosmo Cricket and Cloud 9 were ignored. I hope after Christmas to maybe pick up some embellishments on the cheap.

I have not made any cards for a few days. I do have my Angela's birthday card done but I will wait to post it. I probably won't update here until after Christmas.

I have spent the last few days messing around with my organizing. I bought 2 of the Cropper Hopper carts on wheels that have 10 12" drawers each. I got them on sale at Joannes for a good price. I have also been scanning my stamped images I have gotten from others. I did some cropping and enhancing and have turned them all into pngs. I am looking forward to taking some of the bigger images and doing a smaller version of them.

Fun cards

I see I haven't updated for a few days. Been busy I guess. Here are a couple more cards. The snowman and reindeer were precolored digital images. The little bear was a piece of clip art. I covered him with Diamond Glaze and then roughed it up to look like fur.
