Cats are in the limelight

I did a mutt card so now it is time to let cats have the spotlight. I stamped the cats on printed paper and cut them out. Talk about fun! I still have some cats I want to use. All of the paper is from the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers pad except the background paper on the cat with the ginormous whiskers. Now Debby, I expect you will have to ask what ginormous is. A cross between gigantic and enormous. The digital word art is courtesy of TLC except the meow stamp. The stamps are by Recollections, Michaels line.

My sis went back to AZ and the 106 degree temps they had today. I think the high here was 74. Love it! The perfect weather.I was lazy today and didn't walk this evening. Was too involved in crafting. I will soon post some cupcake cards.

Crunching leaves

Still summer here and not time for crunching leaves. I can't believe how early it is getting dark though. In the evening I have to be out the door around 7:30 in order to get my laps around the park finished.

In the morning my sister heads back home to AZ after being here for 2 weeks. The visit has been nice. We get along well.

Here is my latest card. Well, not really. I have 2 cards I will load up the next time. I embossed the tree. The leaves are cut from a sheet of ugly paper that I have often wondered why I bought.

Speaking of papers. My Angela brought over a stack of papers that must have been 6 inches high, maybe more. I have been going through them to see what I want to keep. She said she had a stack that big still at home. For some reason she counted only her Basic Grey papers and came up with 400 sheets. Now she feels guilty. This means I get to purge some of my stuff that I don't really like. I won't want any paper for a long time I hope.

It's a lovely day in the neighborhood

I have 2 cards today from the same Hope Jacare digital image. The one card has a pumpkin cut with a Nestability and used as the background. I put it through a Cuttlebug folder and rubbed some chalk ink on it. The flower was stamped and cut out. I edged it with a Spica glitter pen. On the card with the rick rack I did some sewing. The background paper is from a pad of K & Co. A new fall pad loaded with gorgeous paper.

licorice

This was a fun card to make. Word art courtesy of TLC. The paper is older than the hills

It was 100 degrees plus yesterday. So glad I have central air. Lots of families playing in the park across the street when evening comes. I am sure that many houses in this area have hot houses so it is a relief to get out of them.

French couture

Finished this one last night. I used my Copic airbrush to do the background and what a mess. I wound up cutting out the lady and putting her on a background paper. The digital image is courtesy of TLC. http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com/

My sister arrived this morning. No special plans, just hanging around the house. She has back and leg problems and can't do much in the way of walking or standing.

It's all about the mutts.

I got the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers pad from Barb. This is the first time I have used the papers. The Word art is courtesy of TLC.

I need to get out of this room and stop playing. My sister comes in 2 days. I have a little more housework to do. She will be here for 2 weeks. The temperature here is around 80 in the day. She says it was 108 in Mesa AZ today. She will need a sweater here!

Gem of The Sea

I made this card for a challenge on tlc. Digital image and art words courtesy of tlc. I colored the image with Copic markers and then cut out and applied to matching background paper. The sea grass is not glued down to give it some dimension. The oysters pearl is Pearl Drops. The background paper is Websters Pages petite papers.

My first post

I don't know what I am doing. So what else is new? I need to spend some time figuring this out.
