My craft room

This cart holds my printed design paper that I have not cut.

This middle cart holds patterned paper I have cut.

This cart with folders holds my solid cardstock in 12"x12" size

My unmounted stamps in CD cases.

Nothing fancy but I like it. I took the closet doors off. This is the only room that does not have the neutral color on the walls from when I bought the house. I splurged and paid $600 for a painter the day before I had laminate floors installed in this room. I have one more cart with colored drawers stashed under the pub table. The drawers open towards the closet. I have cardstock stashed in the desk drawers of my work desk. A place for everything and everything in it's place. Most of my ribbon I hung on a nail in the closet. Too much hanging on the door. The basket of stamps is how I store clear sets. I have two baskets like this. I got tired of putting them in CD cases.

It's Valentines Day!

My one layer card, stamped with Memento ink. The hearts banner is a stamp from Stampotique.

The Love stamp is by Inkadinkadoo. The swirls on the background are metallic gold. Very pretty.

The image on this looks a little strange. Probably because of the scan. The little jewels I added didn't allow the card to lay flat.

The strawberry paper and the chunky chocolate paper were scraps, the last of both. I would love to have more of this chunky chocolate but I have looked for years for more of it to no avail. The red hearts are flocked velvet.

This is the inside of the last card. I just had to have that Inkadinkadoo  sentiment stamp when I saw it. I have had it for a couple of years and this is the first time I have used it. The hearts is a Hero Arts stamp.

Pretty bird

Same stamped image colored with Copics. The first one is for my daughters birthday on the 31st. The second one is for my OWH box. I used a different color on the tails. The OWH bird is closer to the color in the paper but the birthday card bird isn't all that red, it is more on the pink side. The papers are Little Yellow Bicycle.

Birthday Girl

You really need to click on the picture to see what a wonderful artist Hope Jacare is.

On Tuesday my youngest grand child will be 21 (I do have 8 great grand children). She is quite the young lady. She is in the community college. This fall she will transfer to Oregon State University.

This card is 5&1/2 inches square. I used a digital image colored with Copics.

I am thinking this rosette flower ribbon is by May Arts. On the OWH cruise 2 years ago Sandy divided up all of the leftover products. May Arts was one of the sponsors.

Because this is not an OWH card I got out my Spica Glitter Pens. I used it to make the fine lines red. I used Diamond Glaze for the hearts. I added 3 Heidi Grace metal stickers to the top. The background paper is Bo Bunny.

Tea Time

There will be 6 of these for my OWH box. The image is a colored digi from Create With TLC. I bought it over 2 years ago and this is the first time I have used it. I gave the flowers 2 or 3 layers of clear Sakura Glaze pen. Love that pen. Use it all the time. The blue papers are by Bo Bunny. The sentiment stamp is one of those $1 stamps from Michaels. It gets a lot of use.

Owl my love

I made 8 of these cards with the same precolored clipart. The sentiment is computer generated. The last 2 were made with leftover chunks of paper. That cute owl paper on the bottom card was from the OWH cruise. On the last day Sandy doled out all of the leftover papers for us to take home. The paper has wet look embossing so it went perfectly with the pink plaid which was also embossed. That was 2 years ago so it was time to get used.

Our love of paper

I don't normally blog unless I post a card but here goes.

Paper. We spend money buying it. Someone gives it to us a gift or because they are purging. It catches our eye and we crave it. Maybe I can use it down the road. Oh! It's on sale. We buy pads of the thin stuff that has 180 sheets. I used to but I haven't done that for years and years but I still have a lot of that paper. I got rid of a bunch but I really like these sheets. I will use them in the future. Ladies! The future never comes and we have more and more paper.

One of my daughters works with a lady that a few years ago had a scrapbook store. She is purging. I don't know her but she knows I use paper. Today my daughter brought me for the third time inches and inches of thin paper. Lots of it from those pads, some stuff from CTMH, all thin. Some of it is really cute. Will I ever use it? NO

Sandy has taught us to use really nice paper. I placed a call this evening to my grandsons wife. She teaches at an elementary school. I told her the paper was printed on one side and the other side was white, perfect to use to draw on. Yes, she would love to have it. It is one thing to give away paper that was given to you and another that you laid out cash for. That makes you think twice.

The thin paper that is solid I am cutting to line cards. I already have a lot cut and folded but I will do some more.

I am biting the bullet. The paper is going. I say that and I sit and think maybe I should go through it and pull the stuff I really like. Nope! It is going. I will use my nice paper of which I have more than enough. I will not in the future buy thin paper. Maybe in the future I will buy some nice paper again but for now I am shopping from my own store.

I bet there are plenty of you that can relate

working with tags

My daughter gave me some lightweight papers by Pink Paisley. I decided to cut off the cute corners and make some tags by using lightweight chipboard. I added some Diamond Glaze to the butterflies for a little added punch and stamped on some small sentiments.

Sewing Machine Challenge to Cindy

Cindy talked about sewing on cards so I challenged her to get out her machine. She accepted and has headed to the attic to get it. I would have refused if I had to go to the attic. You get to it via the garage and the attic stairs which I have never set foot on. The attic is where my furnace is so when the filters need to be changed I call on my 20 year old granddaughter to do the honors.

I cheated a little on this challenge. I had all of the elements ready and I just needed to sew them instead of using my ATG. I have 6 cards for my OWH box. My sewing is a little rusty I admit.

The image is a Bugaboo digi colored with Copics. The little cloud I embossed came via my friend Peggy B. She sent me a nice big envelope of them in several sizes.

Ahoy Matey

My first blog post of the year and my first cards for OWH. The image is a digi from Bugaboo that I have had for ages. It is the first time I have gotten around to using it. I colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. I made 2 cards with red and 4 with the blue. It is the last of both papers except for some scraps. It always feels good to use up my paper.
