Tea Time
There will be 6 of these for my OWH box. The image is a colored digi from Create With TLC. I bought it over 2 years ago and this is the first time I have used it. I gave the flowers 2 or 3 layers of clear Sakura Glaze pen. Love that pen. Use it all the time. The blue papers are by Bo Bunny. The sentiment stamp is one of those $1 stamps from Michaels. It gets a lot of use.

Owl my love
I made 8 of these cards with the same precolored clipart. The sentiment is computer generated. The last 2 were made with leftover chunks of paper. That cute owl paper on the bottom card was from the OWH cruise. On the last day Sandy doled out all of the leftover papers for us to take home. The paper has wet look embossing so it went perfectly with the pink plaid which was also embossed. That was 2 years ago so it was time to get used.

Our love of paper
I don't normally blog unless I post a card but here goes.
Paper. We spend money buying it. Someone gives it to us a gift or because they are purging. It catches our eye and we crave it. Maybe I can use it down the road. Oh! It's on sale. We buy pads of the thin stuff that has 180 sheets. I used to but I haven't done that for years and years but I still have a lot of that paper. I got rid of a bunch but I really like these sheets. I will use them in the future. Ladies! The future never comes and we have more and more paper.
One of my daughters works with a lady that a few years ago had a scrapbook store. She is purging. I don't know her but she knows I use paper. Today my daughter brought me for the third time inches and inches of thin paper. Lots of it from those pads, some stuff from CTMH, all thin. Some of it is really cute. Will I ever use it? NO
Sandy has taught us to use really nice paper. I placed a call this evening to my grandsons wife. She teaches at an elementary school. I told her the paper was printed on one side and the other side was white, perfect to use to draw on. Yes, she would love to have it. It is one thing to give away paper that was given to you and another that you laid out cash for. That makes you think twice.
The thin paper that is solid I am cutting to line cards. I already have a lot cut and folded but I will do some more.
I am biting the bullet. The paper is going. I say that and I sit and think maybe I should go through it and pull the stuff I really like. Nope! It is going. I will use my nice paper of which I have more than enough. I will not in the future buy thin paper. Maybe in the future I will buy some nice paper again but for now I am shopping from my own store.
I bet there are plenty of you that can relate

working with tags
My daughter gave me some lightweight papers by Pink Paisley. I decided to cut off the cute corners and make some tags by using lightweight chipboard. I added some Diamond Glaze to the butterflies for a little added punch and stamped on some small sentiments.

Sewing Machine Challenge to Cindy
Cindy talked about sewing on cards so I challenged her to get out her machine. She accepted and has headed to the attic to get it. I would have refused if I had to go to the attic. You get to it via the garage and the attic stairs which I have never set foot on. The attic is where my furnace is so when the filters need to be changed I call on my 20 year old granddaughter to do the honors.
I cheated a little on this challenge. I had all of the elements ready and I just needed to sew them instead of using my ATG. I have 6 cards for my OWH box. My sewing is a little rusty I admit.
The image is a Bugaboo digi colored with Copics. The little cloud I embossed came via my friend Peggy B. She sent me a nice big envelope of them in several sizes.

Ahoy Matey
My first blog post of the year and my first cards for OWH. The image is a digi from Bugaboo that I have had for ages. It is the first time I have gotten around to using it. I colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. I made 2 cards with red and 4 with the blue. It is the last of both papers except for some scraps. It always feels good to use up my paper.

This and that.
I pretty much used up all of the paper from this 6" pad of Authentique. I have a few scraps left. I had to go into my stash to find the dark green paper for the last card. I mixed together the papers and stamps and ended up with 18 cards. The bird and the cat are both from Inkadinkadoo. The miss you stamp is a very old SU stamp. The big circle sentiment is a digi from Create With TLC

Tutorial for stamp set envelope
I got tired of putting my stamp sets in CD containers. They are fine for single stamps and unmounted stamps but I now have about 100 cases and I am running out of room. I long ago started keeping my sets in the original packages but as you know they are prone to tearing. I put the sets that would fit into Avery Elle stamp storage envelopes and I love them but they are too short for some sets including Inkadinkadoo.
I have an abundance of Avery Premium Heavy Weight sheet holders. I also have a Staples brand my daughter gave to me but they are a lighter weight. I tried both and the Avery brand is much nicer.
Using your cutter cut 4" from the top open edge. I also trimmed off the edge a little where the holes are.
Using your ruler and a Sharpie pen make a nice heavy line at the 5" mark. You need to be able to see it for one of the steps.
On the open top edge cut at an angle to the fold mark.
Using the 5" ink mark as a guide line use scissors to cut off from ONLY the ink marked side.
Fold the leftover flap to the cut off edge. After you insert your stamp set, with some cardstock as backer, you can tuck the flap in. I trimmed off and used the original backing from this set because it has the name of the stamp set on it.
I have a nice plastic basket from Walmart that is just the right size that
I put my stamps in so all I have to do is flip through them and pull out only the one I want.

Warm thoughts.
In a recent online order I received free a pack of 12 Pink Paisley journal cards. They all had butterflies. I used six of the cards by stamping a sentiment on them. I covered all of the butterflies with Diamond Glaze. These are going out in a few days in my last OWH box of the year.

Cocoa time
The snow flakes are embossed as part of the original paper.
The next 2 cards also have a lot of pre embossed glitter.
Image is a colored digi from The Paper Shelter. I am trying to use paper I have had for years. I made 14 cards with this image.
