OWH-Friend collage

Just a quick post. Haven't updated for a couple of days. This is a stamped collage image on patterned paper. I put Diamond Glaze on the butterfly after I colored it with Copics. Distressed the edges and all that. You can pretty much see what I did. I made several of these for OWH

OWH-Raining Cupcakes

Today I am adding a couple of cards that are the same image but colored a little differently. This is another digital image from Hambo Stamps. I have a fondness for their images. I used Diamond Glaze on the umbrellas. For the cupcake icing I used a Sakura Glaze pen.

Today (Thursday) I got my order from HSN with a pack of 100 Bazzill Classic white cardstock. It is not as nice as the X-press blending card but nicer than Neenah. That is what I am told anyway. I use the Neenah and hoard the X-press. Today I am also looking for a couple of other packages. I have a 10 pack of Glaze pens on it's way and all the new Copic Sketch colors plus some more. I have been coloring my new charts that a friend gave me. She makes her own and they are so nice.

This is also the day that I will be the Friday Featured cardmaker on the OWH Stars and Stamps blog. I hope they said nice things about me.  lol  I haven't seen it yet.

OWH-mid week throwdown

I made several of these cards with different color combinations. The digital rainbow image is from Stretch N Bubbles. The word art is from Create with TLC. Paulette at TLC had an offer to send in a watermarked image and she would make a sentiment. I had bought the image to make OWH cards with but couldn't come up with a good sentiment. I sent her this image and she was kind enough to brainstorm and this is what she came up with. I think it is perfect. I merged the 2 images and it was a perfect design.

The midweek throwdown wants cards with polka dots. The first one is just right. Both cards were made with paper from a huge slab that I have had a long time.

Right after I scanned this polka dot card my scanner went wonky. It is making a huge bar of light across my images. I am thinking I pressed to hard on the platen cleaning it just before I scanned this. This one was fine but after that is was no dice. I just opened a $60 pack of ink from Costco for the printer. It isn't like I want to buy a new printer scanner combo with this ink sitting here. Maybe I will have to finally learn to take a good picture with my camera. Maybe I will buy a NEW camera. My grandaughter took an outside picture of the card with the flowers using her new $200 camera. New printer or new camera or use what I have. It rains here so much you can go days with no outside sun. Maybe I need to make a light box. I have been thinking about that.

OWH-Three blind mice

These cards were made with digital images from Hambo Stamps.  I had a lot of fun coloring them with Copics. I glazed the cake with Diamond Glaze.

Hambo Hoedown-Mane man

I am having problems with blogger letting me upload my picture. I think it will work this time.

I colored this image with Copics and then cut it out. I changed the type font and layout of the words and printed onto the bottom strip. The guitar paper is from DCWV Rock pad. The challenge required masculine and stripes so this works. I used some copper brads and the star is copper metalic paper that I put in a Cuttlebug folder.

For information on the hoedown challenges click the button on my sidebar. The blog will give you links to the Hambos Stamp store where you can find images that are great fun.

OWH-Yoo hoo!

Today I have some simple cards using owls I cut from a sheet of patterned paper. The yoo hoo stamp is from my stash. The paper with the fancy edge is one of the fancy papers from My Angela that I challenged myself to use. For some reason These cards really made me smile and I would look at them and just keep saying yoo hoo.  lol

Hambo Hoedown #4

I had a hard time working with this layout which was the challenge for this image. I changed the oval to the rectangle and rounded the corners. I also used a different font for the sentiment. It worked better for how I wanted to use it. The image was colored with Copics. For the medal I used Twinkling H2Os in a gold color. It has that nice glimmer that the twinklers have, you just can't see it here. Makes it look like a real medal. I used different papers for the background. The stripe and the paper with circles is DCWV natural pad. It has that nice shiny piece in the stripe and the dots. I wanted to keep this card masculine. It is for OWH. I thought it could be used as a Fathers Day card.

On my sidebar I have a link to Hambos Hoedown blog. You can go to the Hambos site from there and look at the fun images they have. I am sure you will find something that you just have to have!

OWH-Embossing challenge

Here is my card. I chose to use only the single heart. The music background is a stamp from Sonlight Impressions. It was RAKed to me by a fellow stamper, Cathy. Thank you Cathy.  I used Vintage Sepia Versafine as the ink. The sentiment is from Create With TLC. Another version of this card is one I didn't emboss as a whole. I felt that the embossing just didn't look that well with the stamped background. I will try this again on just plain paper.

OWH- Midweek throwdown

The challenge this week is for an any occasion card. I think this works for a few occasions. This is one of my favorite Penny Black stamp images
